Dr. Walid Sweida, who chairs Al-Deqa Engineering Consulting Company and leads the Engineering Consulting Committee at the Egyptian Businessmen's Association, shared his thoughts. He believes that sometimes, delaying a decision is a decision in itself, and it can actually be more risky than making a wrong one. Dr. Sweida explained on his LinkedIn account that you can often correct a wrong decision later on. However, a delayed decision might cause you to lose out on opportunities completely. He pointed out that the business world doesn't always give you extra time, and you can't just postpone every decision while waiting for the "perfect moment." He added that some decisions simply need to be made at the right time, without hesitation. He highlighted that the difference between companies that move forward and those that stay stuck isn't always about their resources, but rather about how quickly they can make and commit to a decision. Dr. Walid Sweida emphasized that when things are clear, hesitating to make a decision can end up costing you more than if you had just made a mistake in the first place.
