This visit was part of the Green Growth and Jobs Accelerator Project (GGJAP). The company emphasized that this experience clearly showed a strong connection between SEKEM's vision for sustainability and Smart Pyramids' mission, which sees technology as a fundamental pillar for driving green growth. Smart Pyramids focuses on developing smart building infrastructure using Edge AI and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies. Their goal is to reduce energy waste in commercial buildings and facilities by up to 30%, which helps cut carbon emissions and boost resource efficiency. During the visit, there was a great exchange of expertise and ideas with several startups participating in the Entrepreneurship Center for Social Impact at Heliopolis University. Discussions also took place with supporting partners within the ecosystem, including GIZ, MSMEDA, and PUM. The company expressed its appreciation for the role played by UNDP, Flat6Labs, and New Silk Roads in organizing a comprehensive knowledge-sharing experience. This event brought together various stakeholders from the green entrepreneurship ecosystem and helped foster dialogue about the future of sustainability and innovation in Egypt.
