Grana Group Launches Smart & Sustainable Strategy, Aims for Global Egyptian Industry

Grana Group, one of Egypt's leading companies specializing in professional kitchen equipment, has announced its focus on developing smart and sustainable solutions in the coming phase. These solutions will align with modern environmental standards and boost operational efficiency in central kitchens, hotels, and medical facilities. This move comes alongside their plans to expand local manufacturing and reach into international markets. Eng. Hanaa Grana, Head of Grana Group, stated that the group has successfully built an integrated industrial model over 30 years, founded on quality, innovation, and continuous development. She emphasized that their goal from day one was never just about trade, but rather establishing an Egyptian industry capable of competing regionally and internationally, providing market needs with competitive "Made in Egypt" products. She added that the group has been keen to invest in modern technology and technical expertise. This ensures they deliver products that meet the needs of the hospitality sector and central kitchens according to the highest global standards, especially given the rapid global advancements in the sector. She also mentioned the launch of a strategy to offer innovative, sustainable, and energy-saving products that fit market demands. Grana explained that 2019 marked a major turning point for the group with the opening of "Kitchen Equipment Factory – KEF." KEF is the group's industrial arm, dedicated to manufacturing professional kitchen equipment locally. She affirmed that the factory was established to provide an Egyptian product that could compete with global brands in terms of quality and operational efficiency. The factory has successfully bridged the gap between local and imported products by manufacturing durable and precisely engineered stainless steel equipment. She further noted that the group didn't stop at the local market but ventured into international expansion. In 2023, they opened a kitchen equipment branch in Africa, a strategic step aimed at strengthening Egypt's presence in African markets. She pointed out that this expansion reflects the group's confidence in the quality of Egyptian products and their ability to compete, especially with the growing hospitality, hotel, and restaurant sectors across the African continent. Hanaa Grana revealed that Grana Group aims to provide integrated solutions, including kitchen equipment, cooling and ventilation systems, and central laundries. These solutions are designed to meet the needs of major hotel, medical, and tourism projects. She stressed that the central laundry sector is one of the group's key focus areas, where they offer the latest washing, drying, and ironing systems for hotels, hospitals, and large establishments, utilizing modern technological solutions that help reduce energy and water consumption. The Head of the Group indicated that the next phase will see an expansion in local manufacturing and an increase in production capacity, alongside strengthening their presence in foreign markets, particularly in Africa and the Middle East. She affirmed that Grana Group's success over the past three decades is thanks to relying on Egyptian talent, investing in human capital, and industrial technology. Eng. Hanaa Grana highlighted that the group looks forward to a future of greater expansion and innovation. Their goal is to maintain their position as a key partner for investors in the hotel, restaurant, and hospital sectors both inside and outside Egypt. She emphasized that the group will continue its efforts to solidify the standing of Egyptian industry in global markets.
