With growing interest in the green economy and sustainability, business incubators and accelerators in Egypt are continuing to direct their investments towards companies that develop innovative solutions to tackle environmental challenges. In this exciting context, Flat6Labs has announced that 27 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) have joined the fifth cohort of its Green Growth and Jobs Acceleration Program (GGJAP). This new group of companies works across a variety of sectors. They're tackling issues like water scarcity in agriculture, developing sustainable textile industries, improving industrial process efficiency, and offering innovative solutions that help reduce environmental impact and promote sustainable resource use. The companies joining the program include: Act Sustainable, Agriland Egypt, ARU Group, Aswaneya, Atyan for Sustainable and Technologies, Banana Kingdom, CycleX, Dawaa, Diagonal, Eid Stores, El Fathy Group for Consulting and Energy Management, Farza for Trading, and Fishinista. Also joining are Green Yarn, Greenlizer, Herbanol, HG Eco, Lilian Azer Trade, Mafrooz, Makler Cellutech, Ramaegy, Rebekia, Salahly, Tasle Cosmetics, Technoland for Rain Irrigation, and Techy Global, along with one other company in the cohort. The GGJAP program is part of the Danish-Arab Partnership Programme (DAPP), which is overseen by the Danish Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It's implemented by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with Flat6Labs and New Silk Roads. The main goal is to empower SMEs to adopt more sustainable practices, create green job opportunities, and boost Egypt's transition towards a low-emission economy.
