EVRaid Earns Official Startup Status in Egypt, Driving Local EV Innovation

EVRaid, a company specializing in electric vehicle technologies, has officially announced that it has received the Egyptian Startup Label Charter. This makes EVRaid one of the first Egyptian deep tech companies to focus on developing and manufacturing electric powertrain systems for electric vehicles. According to Sherif Diab, the company's founder and CEO, this official classification reflects Egypt's growing commitment to localizing advanced technological industries, especially electric powertrain systems. He highlighted this sector as vital for supporting the transition to a green economy. Diab emphasized that developing this technology locally is a strategic move to boost Egypt's manufacturing and technological capabilities. It aims to reduce reliance on imports in the electric vehicle sector and build an advanced industrial base that supports the growth of national industries. He added that EVRaid's technical solutions are designed to support the shift towards electric transportation through local technology. This opens up new avenues for innovation and strengthens the research and development ecosystem in the Egyptian market. The company's achievement of this classification is part of the Startup Label initiative. This initiative is backed by the Ministerial Group for Entrepreneurship, in collaboration with the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency (MSMEDA). Its goal is to support startups with technological innovations, enabling them to grow and enhance their contribution to the local economy.
