Hoda Dahroug, Advisor to the Egyptian Minister of Communications and Information Technology for Digital Community Development, took part in the First Egyptian Civil Society Forum. This event was organized by the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development and CARE Egypt, with representatives from the National Alliance for Civil Development Work and the Fund for Supporting Associations and Civil Institutions Projects also participating, all under the patronage of the Ministry of Social Solidarity. The Minister's advisor joined a dialogue session that showcased the Ministry of Communications' efforts to support digital transformation and enhance the readiness of civil society organizations to adopt modern digital solutions. Engineer Hoda Dahroug emphasized that digital transformation is a fundamental pillar for developing civil work. She highlighted the importance of building the capabilities of staff within non-governmental organizations and providing innovative digital tools that support data-driven decision-making. This, she noted, contributes to achieving greater sustainability and a wider impact for development initiatives. She also stressed the Ministry's commitment to launching programs and initiatives aimed at boosting digital awareness and technological inclusion, empowering various segments of society to benefit from modern technologies. The session also explored ways to support the needs of the civil sector amidst digital transformation. Participants underscored the importance of multi-party partnerships and integration between government bodies and civil institutions to build a comprehensive digital society capable of addressing development challenges by adopting innovative and flexible work models in technology use.
