Egypt's Prime Minister, Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, has just made an exciting move! He issued a decision to re-form the Ministerial Group for Entrepreneurship. This new group will be led by Dr. Hussein Issa, the Deputy Prime Minister for Economic Affairs. This decision really shows how committed the government is to boosting coordination and support for Egypt's startup and entrepreneurship sector.
The newly formed group is quite comprehensive, bringing together a wide range of ministries and economic development bodies. We're talking about key players like the Ministries of Finance, Supply and Internal Trade, Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Communications and Information Technology, Higher Education and Scientific Research, Investment and Foreign Trade, Planning and Economic Development, and Industry. Plus, there will be representatives from the Central Bank, the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises Development Agency, and the Financial Regulatory Authority.
This expanded representation from both ministries and economic bodies is seen as a big step towards creating a more integrated system for handling entrepreneurship. The goal is to connect financial, trade, and technology policies into one cohesive framework. This will really help boost startup growth and make the investment environment even better.
The decision also gives the group the flexibility to invite other ministers, experts, and specialists to their meetings. This is a smart way to tap into talent and expertise from outside the usual government circles, ultimately leading to better decision-making.
The group is set to meet regularly, at least every two weeks, and can also convene whenever needed. If the Prime Minister attends, he will chair the meetings himself. This highlights just how important this initiative is on the government's agenda for the coming period.
