Entlaq Holding has announced the start of data collection for the fourth edition of its annual report, "Egyptian Entrepreneurship Sector Diagnosis 2026" (SDR 2026). This report is a leading data-driven reference for analyzing the reality of Egypt's startup environment.
The report aims to provide a comprehensive and accurate view of the evolution of Egypt's entrepreneurship ecosystem. It relies on actual data and in-depth analyses, rather than just impressions or news monitoring, especially given the rapid growth the sector has seen in recent years.
The report uses an advanced research tool that feeds into the "Ecosystem Readiness Scorecard." This analytical framework measures the performance of Egypt's startup environment across eight main pillars, using a scale from one to five. This approach allows for an objective assessment that can be compared with other markets.
The data collection process is based on four main stakeholder categories: startup founders, investors, policymakers, and ecosystem builders. Special questionnaires have been designed for each category to ensure their diverse perspectives are captured while maintaining comparability between the results.
Entlaq emphasized that all collected data is subject to strict confidentiality policies. Data is aggregated and analyzed in total, with no individual data ever published. The findings are also supported by secondary data from international and local sources, such as the World Bank and global innovation indices, along with specialized startup sector databases.
This report serves as a crucial tool for decision-making among various stakeholders within the ecosystem, including founders, investors, and supporting entities. It does this by offering a deeper understanding of market dynamics, identifying gaps and challenges, and spotting growth opportunities.
The company invites everyone working in Egypt's entrepreneurship sector to participate in the survey. All responses will remain confidential and will be used solely for research purposes, helping to paint a more accurate and realistic picture of the sector's future.
