Telecom Egypt (WE), Egypt's first integrated telecommunications and information technology operator, has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with VIE Communities for Investments and Development. The goal is to develop and implement advanced, integrated digital infrastructure for VIE Communities' projects, supporting digital transformation within new urban communities and boosting their readiness for the future. The MoU was signed by Mohamed El-Touny, Telecom Egypt's Vice President for Consumer Commercial Affairs, and Dr. Haitham Samir, CEO of VIE Communities. Under this agreement, Telecom Egypt will develop advanced infrastructure based on Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) fiber optic technology. This will provide a suite of smart and integrated services to end-users, including "Triple Play" services that feature super-fast internet, landline phone services, and digital television (IPTV) services. Additionally, Telecom Egypt will offer extra digital solutions like smart home systems and community management applications. This integration of smart digital solutions and services aims to enhance customer experience, improve service efficiency, and keep pace with the rapid developments in the telecommunications sector. This partnership reflects a shared commitment between both parties to apply the highest standards of quality and innovation. It focuses on developing integrated digital infrastructure that supports the shift towards smart projects and strengthens urban communities' readiness to meet future demands. Mohamed El-Touny, Telecom Egypt's Vice President for Consumer Commercial Affairs, stated that the company continues its role in supporting digital transformation efforts and developing telecommunications infrastructure across various sectors. This is achieved by providing advanced technological solutions that contribute to building more connected and sustainable communities. He added that the agreement represents a new step to support smart real estate projects and will help develop VIE Communities' projects into a complete model for modern communities, relying on advanced digital infrastructure and innovative services. For his part, Dr. Haitham Samir, CEO of VIE Communities, emphasized that digital infrastructure has become a fundamental element for the success of modern real estate projects. He noted that the partnership with WE is a strategic move in developing the "Vie Collective" project, which will enhance the value offered to customers and provide a comprehensive living experience based on the latest technologies and smart services. He further added that this partnership aligns with the company's long-term vision to build integrated and sustainable urban communities that meet the aspirations of the new generation and provide a more connected and innovative living environment.
