MIS Teams Up with Saudi Fransi Capital to Power Up Saudi Arabia's Data Centers

Data center investments in Saudi Arabia continue to expand, driven by the rapid growth in demand for cloud computing services, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation. This exciting trend is prompting companies to explore new projects to strengthen the digital infrastructure in key cities. In line with this, Al Moammar Information Systems (MIS) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Saudi Fransi Capital, which manages the Saudi Data Center Fund 1. The agreement is to study and evaluate the establishment of three brand-new data centers, expected to have a total capacity of 48 megawatts. The MoU outlines cooperation for developing these new centers in Riyadh, Dammam, and Jeddah. MIS will take the lead on the development, design, and implementation of the targeted capacity, and will also manage the assets and facilities related to the project once it's completed. According to the MoU, the agreement officially started on July 21, 2026, and will run for 90 days, with the option for extension if both parties agree. Both companies have confirmed that there are no related parties involved in this deal and no direct financial impact is expected in the current phase. This strategic move comes as Saudi Arabia's data center market continues its rapid expansion. There's a growing need for robust digital infrastructure to support cloud computing, artificial intelligence, and various digital applications, all of which are crucial for achieving the digital transformation goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030.
