Venduo's Digital Marketplace: Connecting Fashion Brands to Factories and Streamlining Production

Venduo is betting on digitizing one of the fashion industry's most in-need-of-development areas. They're building a specialized B2B platform that connects fashion brands and designers with factories, offering a digital channel to access manufacturing capabilities and choose the right supplier based on each product's nature and requirements. Founded in 2024 by Khaled Sallouma, co-founder and CEO, Venduo aims to transform the traditional relationship between brands and factories. Instead of separate search, communication, and negotiation processes, they offer a digital system that allows brands to define their needs, find suitable factories, compare manufacturing options, and then track order execution until delivery. Since its launch, the company has successfully built a base of around 8,000 brands and fashion designers, alongside more than 2,000 factories. The volume of transactions completed through the platform has reached approximately EGP 40 million, with EGP 20 million of that occurring in the first six months of 2026, indicating accelerating activity on the platform as its user base expands. Over the next three years, Venduo aims to grow its customer base to 100,000, encompassing both brand owners and factories. This will happen in parallel with expanding its service scope, which covers over 30 specializations in fashion manufacturing, and enhancing its ability to connect Egyptian factories with brands in local and regional markets.

Digital B2B Model

Venduo operates on a B2B Marketplace model, which aims to build a direct digital channel between the two parties in the manufacturing ecosystem. This allows brand owners and designers to showcase their needs and product specifications, then find factories whose capabilities align with the nature of their request. But the platform's role isn't limited to just providing factory data. It extends to managing multiple stages of the manufacturing journey, starting from supplier search and communication, moving through negotiation, sample production, and main production, all the way to tracking manufacturing stages and delivery. The platform also allows brands to define a set of specific criteria for their order, including product type, materials, quantities, and required specifications. This helps them narrow down their search and find the most suitable factory, rather than relying on traditional searching and direct relationships. Transactions completed through Venduo since its launch have reached approximately EGP 40 million, with EGP 20 million of that in the first half of 2026, according to Khaled Sallouma, co-founder and CEO. This value represents deals made between local and international brands on the platform and Egyptian factories. It doesn't represent the company's direct revenue, but rather the total value of orders placed through the platform. Venduo's revenue model relies on fixed annual subscriptions paid by factories, without linking the subscription value to the number of orders a factory receives through the platform. Brands, on the other hand, can register and use the search and communication tools, and set manufacturing criteria for free. This model provides the company with a revenue source based on its factory base, while simultaneously offering the platform to brands as a channel to access a wide network of suppliers. 8,000 Brands and Over 2,000 Factories Since its launch, Venduo has successfully attracted around 8,000 fashion brands and designers, along with over 2,000 factories that offer manufacturing services to others. Building this network is one of the key elements of the company's model. Brands benefit from accessing a wide base of factories, while factories get the opportunity to reach new customers, including both local and international brands. The company aims to increase its customer base to 100,000 over the next three years. This means significantly expanding the current network and increasing the number of manufacturing opportunities and orders that can be fulfilled through the platform. The factory database includes over 30 specializations in clothing and fashion manufacturing, allowing brands to search for suppliers based on product type, materials, specifications, and required quantities.

Supporting Local Manufacturing and Exports

Venduo isn't just focused on digitizing the factory search process; its business model is also tied to a broader goal of supporting local manufacturing and opening new channels for Egyptian factories to reach brands in international markets. Khaled Sallouma stated that about 30% of the total brands on the platform collaborate with local factories in Egypt, explaining that the company is working to boost Egypt's textile and fashion exports to Arab countries. Connecting international brands with Egyptian factories is one of the strategies the company is banking on to increase demand for local production. This gives factories access to customers beyond their traditional networks, while also working to raise their production and quality standards to meet the requirements of various brands. Venduo notes that factories listed on its platform collaborate with global brands, including Zara, Massimo Dutti, Adidas, Mango, Nike, Pull & Bear, Bershka, and Defacto, in addition to local brands.

Digital Tools and Manufacturing Cost Calculator

The company supports its model with a set of digital tools designed to reduce the time and cost associated with finding suppliers. One of the most prominent tools is the manufacturing cost calculator, which allows brands to input product specifications like clothing type, material, quantity, cut, sizes, and colors, to get an initial estimate of production cost. The platform also provides data on factory capabilities and specializations, along with the ability to communicate and negotiate orders and track manufacturing stages, from sample production to final production and delivery. The company clarifies that the results from the manufacturing calculator are estimates and references, not binding final prices, as the final price is determined through direct negotiation with the factory.

AI for Faster Matching

Venduo uses artificial intelligence and data science to improve the matching process between brands and factories. It directs manufacturing requests to factories whose capabilities align with the product type and customer requirements. The company states that its technology can make finding the right factory up to 10 times faster compared to traditional methods, by reducing the time needed to search for suppliers, communicate with them, and evaluate their capabilities. This approach reflects an effort to transform the platform from just a digital directory of factories into a comprehensive system for managing brand-supplier relationships, including search, matching, pricing, negotiation, and production tracking.

Fashion Market Supports Growth Opportunities

Venduo operates in an Egyptian fashion market estimated at $1.56 billion, according to data from the "Cognitive" market research platform, with an annual growth rate of about 8% until 2031. In this context, providing a digital channel to access manufacturing capabilities is one of the company's strategies to capitalize on the growth of brands and increased demand for flexible manufacturing services that can produce items according to specific specifications. The next phase of Venduo's strategy involves expanding its user base and increasing transaction volume through the platform, with the goal of reaching 100,000 customers in the next three years. While the company started with the idea of facilitating access to clothing factories, its vision is gradually expanding towards building a digital B2B marketplace in the fashion and textile sector. This marketplace combines a network of factories and brands, pricing and matching tools, and manufacturing stage management, with a focus on enhancing the competitiveness of local production and connecting it with demand in Arab markets.
