Syria's Labby Leads Arab Startup Funding, Egypt and Saudi Arabia Remain Investor Favorites

Startup companies in the Arab region recorded 6 announced investment deals between July 19 and 25, 2026, totaling $12.95 million in funding. These investments were spread across companies working in super apps, e-gaming, medical technology, construction technology, financial technology, and smart hospitality solutions. This really shows that investors are still keen on companies offering digital solutions in all sorts of different sectors. Syrian company "Labby," which develops a multi-service super app including taxi and food delivery services, secured the largest deal of the week. They landed a $10 million investment, taking the biggest share of the total announced funding for the period all by themselves. Coming in second was Saudi Arabia's Ash Games Studio, specializing in e-game development. They closed an investment round worth $1.5 million, aiming to support their expansion and boost their capabilities in the digital gaming market. In Egypt, Reme-D.Inc, a company in the medical technology field, successfully raised $1.45 million in a pre-Series A investment round. This funding will go towards developing molecular diagnostic solutions, strengthening the presence of Egyptian companies in the health tech sector. The week also saw Saudi Arabia's Goldenhost, which focuses on smart accommodation and hospitality solutions, close a seed funding round. The financial value of this investment wasn't disclosed, but it's part of their plans to develop their platform and expand in the market. The list of deals also included an investment round for Egypt's Kuadra, a company specializing in construction technologies, though the funding value wasn't announced. Additionally, there was a strategic investment in Qatar's SkipCash, which works on digital payment solutions, with the financial value of that deal also not being disclosed. These deals really highlight the ongoing investment activity in the Arab startup ecosystem. It's great to see a variety of sectors benefiting from funding, and it shows that investors continue to be interested in companies developing technology-based and innovative solutions across the region's markets.
