Sufra AI: Bringing Smart AI Dining Experiences to Restaurants in Qatar and Beyond

Sufra AI is a rising startup in the FoodTech and AI sector, busy developing advanced digital solutions to completely rethink the in-restaurant dining experience. They do this by blending artificial intelligence, data analysis, and smart ordering systems.

The company was founded in 2025 and is based in Doha, Qatar's capital. It's part of a vibrant innovation scene that connects the local market with regional markets across the Gulf. Currently, Sufra AI is in an early growth stage with a small team, but they're clearly focused on creating tech products specifically for the hospitality and restaurant industry.

Sufra AI was founded by Ekaterina Demenkova and Jamal Velikhanova, both graduates of Carnegie Mellon University – Qatar. This strong academic background in technology, engineering, and innovation really shows in the company's approach to building solutions that are primarily driven by AI.

Completely Digitizing the Dining Experience

Sufra AI's business model focuses on transforming the customer's in-restaurant experience into a smart, fully digital one. They achieve this through a suite of tech solutions, including:

Smart QR menus: Customers can scan a code to access a personalized menu tailored to their preferences and past behavior, complete with smart dish recommendations.

Direct in-restaurant ordering and payment systems: Guests can order and pay right from their mobile phones, ditching traditional paper menus and manual ordering processes.

Advanced AI-powered restaurant analytics: These tools help restaurants understand customer behavior and spending patterns, which in turn helps them make better operational decisions and boost sales.
