Smart Pyramids Unveils Egypt's First Edge AI Smart Switch That Works Offline

Smart Pyramids, a company specializing in DeepTech and Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, is getting ready to launch its exciting new flagship product: the SPX Smart Switch. This will be Egypt's very first smart switch that uses Edge AI technology and doesn't even need an internet connection to work! The product is set to hit the markets on June 28, 2026. This launch is a huge step forward for local manufacturing of IoT devices (OEM) across the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Unlike traditional smart home devices that rely on external cloud servers, the new SPX switch offers a super innovative hybrid architecture powered by Edge AI. This clever tech allows the device to make operational decisions right there on the spot, helping to save energy and ensuring super-fast performance and total reliability, even if your internet goes down. One of the coolest features of the SPX Smart Switch is its "Offline Logic." This means it works perfectly without an internet connection, keeping your data private and ensuring everything keeps running smoothly. It also boasts comprehensive voice integration, working seamlessly with Google Home and Amazon Alexa. Plus, it supports "Zaki," an Arabic voice assistant specially designed to understand different dialects across the MENA region. The switch features a luxurious design with a modern glass interface, making it perfect for high-end hotels and commercial real estate projects. It's part of a complete system backed by hardware, including a comprehensive mobile app for remote device monitoring, energy consumption analysis, and central control from anywhere in the world. Mahmoud El-Sherif, Founder and CEO of Smart Pyramids, shared his excitement: "As we get closer to our official launch on June 28, our move to a local manufacturing (OEM) model helps solve one of the biggest challenges in the region's smart building sector. This challenge is the gap between expensive European systems and unreliable, cloud-dependent consumer devices." He added, "By fully owning the intellectual property for both hardware and software, we're able to offer a hybrid smart infrastructure that's on par with major corporations, but at a much lower cost." The launch of the SPX series truly highlights Smart Pyramids' vision to bring about a big change in the hospitality (B2B Hospitality) and real estate tech sectors. They're doing this by offering innovative, locally-made solutions, along with a scalable business model that combines both hardware and software.
