Propeller, a venture capital firm focused on investing in AI and digital infrastructure, has announced the successful completion of the first "Kernel Camp" program. This intensive deep-tech startup residency was hosted in Silicon Valley, USA. The program saw five startups from Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, and Jordan graduate after spending eight continuous weeks in the San Francisco Bay Area. During their time there, they participated in intensive development programs, mentorship sessions with AI experts, and direct meetings with global investors. Propeller highlighted that these five companies were selected from the top 3% of applicants and specialize in AI infrastructure, developer tools, and cybersecurity.

5 Startups in AI and Cybersecurity

The participating companies included: OORB from Tunisia: A platform for monitoring robot performance, analyzing operational processes, evaluating reliability, and identifying causes of malfunctions. Techbible from Morocco: Provides a platform for managing software and AI ecosystems within companies, tracking tools, costs, and usage levels. FirstFlow from Jordan: An application that uses smart chat interfaces to simplify onboarding new users and guide them to full platform utilization. Nexguards from Egypt: A platform for simulating cyberattacks and training institutional employees to respond to them using customized scenarios for each work environment. Flowbrave from Morocco: Offers a platform for automating operational processes, transforming traditional procedures into smart and dynamic workflows. During their residency, the startup founders met with numerous senior executives and investors in the technology and AI sectors through weekly mentorship sessions and dinners. These events featured officials and experts from global companies and institutions, including Airbnb, Meta, OpenAI, JP Morgan, Cartesia, Rho, Lux Capital, Mozilla Ventures, Plug and Play, and Mentors Fund. The founders also participated in a special event held at Silicon Valley Bank's headquarters, where they presented their projects to a group of angel investors. Additionally, they made field visits to several tech companies in Silicon Valley to learn about the work environments and cultures of companies leading innovation in AI and software.
