PraxiLabs' Big Win at She's Next Highlights EdTech's Role in Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in Egypt

Women's entrepreneurship in Egypt is really growing within the startup scene! We're seeing more and more initiatives popping up to support women-led projects, connecting them with funding opportunities and investment expertise. This positive trend was clearly reflected in the fourth edition of the "She's Next" competition, where PraxiLabs proudly took home first place.

Visa announced the winners of the fourth "She's Next" competition in Egypt, which is organized in partnership with the Commercial International Bank's (CIB) Corporate Banking Sector – their exclusive banking partner for the fourth year running. This year, they also teamed up with "Shark Tank Egypt" for the very first time! The whole goal is to empower women entrepreneurs and help their businesses grow faster by offering training, mentorship, guidance, and boosting their visibility and access to funding.

This year's competition saw over 2,500 women-led projects participate, which truly shows how diverse and strong the women's entrepreneurship ecosystem is in Egypt. All these amazing entries went through a careful evaluation and development process to pick the best ones for the final rounds.

The final stage featured 9 companies, each getting the chance to present their projects to a panel of experts and investors. This panel included Abdullah Salam and Ahmed Tarek from "Shark Tank Egypt," Malak El Baba from Visa, and Hany El Deeb from CIB.

Innovative Business Models

PraxiLabs secured first place in the competition, winning the grand prize of $20,000! Up-Fuse came in second, receiving a prize of $15,000, while Kennah took third place with a $10,000 prize.

Together, these three winning companies received a total of $45,000 in funding to support their next growth stages. They all presented innovative business models with strong potential for expansion, aiming to meet real market needs. They truly stood out among a competitive group of finalists representing diverse sectors and solutions.

Education Technology

PraxiLabs offers a specialized platform for 3D virtual science labs, allowing students to conduct scientific experiments in an interactive digital environment.
