Mohamed Aboul Naga Nagaty: A Tech Visionary Shaping Egypt and Africa's Startup Future

Mohamed Aboul Naga Nagaty is truly one of Egypt's most prominent entrepreneurs, having carved out a unique path in the world of entrepreneurship and technology. He's a tech engineer and entrepreneur with about 15 years of experience in emerging markets, where he's blended innovative thinking with a strong commitment to human values. This has made his name synonymous with successful ventures and pioneering ideas across Egypt and Africa. Nagaty graduated from the American University in Cairo with a degree in Electronics Engineering. He jumped straight from academia into the practical world, founding and managing startups that quickly became market buzzwords. Think KLIVVR, Egypt's first digital agency, and Halan, Africa's largest Super App and Egypt's first "unicorn." He also launched Exits MENA, a platform dedicated to supporting startups. He's also a board member for several leading companies like Robusta, Koinz, and Kitab Sawti, which really highlights his significant role in guiding and growing new businesses. Nagaty's journey didn't stop at just founding and managing companies. He served as the Regional Director for Careem in the Middle East before Uber acquired it. He also co-founded Fawry, the first tech company to be listed on the Egyptian stock exchange, boasting a market value of $2 billion. These experiences have solidified his position as one of the region's top leadership minds. On the African continent, he was even recognized as one of the top 27 entrepreneurs, showcasing his global leadership and competitive spirit. In January 2025, Nagaty unveiled his latest innovation: Nagaty AI. This artificial intelligence technology impressively handled over 1,000 unique calls and 5,000 minutes of interactive conversations in just about 23 minutes – that's like 200 minutes of traditional performance! He designed it to offer users a smooth and personalized communication experience, with huge potential in education, medicine, and interactive support services. But his activities aren't limited to management and innovation. He's also ventured into writing to share his expertise with new generations. In January 2025, he co-authored "The Kick-off: Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship" with Mohamed Moharram. In this book, he presents entrepreneurial concepts with a youthful spirit, using football analogies to make complex rules and ideas more relatable for readers. He also launched the "Halal Money" podcast, offering a fresh perspective that redefines wealth from a human and ethical standpoint. He believes money isn't an end in itself, but rather a tool to achieve justice, responsibility, and sustainability. Through his episodes, he discusses entrepreneurship, investment, and financing, emphasizing how crucial it is for these to align with human and societal values. He truly believes that real success isn't just about profits, but also about the positive impact we have on individuals' lives and communities.
