Egyptian entrepreneur Mohamed El Masry is truly one of the most prominent names in AI and customer experience in our region. From the very beginning, his ambition has been to export advanced technological solutions from Egypt to markets across the Middle East, the UK, and Europe. It's been quite a journey, blending innovation, tackling challenges, and building tech companies with a global footprint. Mohamed started his academic path by studying electronics engineering, graduating from Minya University in 2004. Soon after, he jumped headfirst into the world of entrepreneurship in Upper Egypt, establishing his very first company in Luxor. This company focused on providing tech solutions for floating hotels and tourist boats in Luxor and Aswan. Back then, they offered innovative ways to automate internet services within hotels, which was an early and exciting step in digitizing the hospitality sector in the region. Even with that early technical success, Mohamed faced some tough managerial and operational challenges that held back growth. This led him to make a smart strategic decision: to boost his expertise by moving to the Gulf. There, he worked for a company specializing in information security, where he helped develop technical solutions for government agencies, banking institutions, and defense organizations. This experience really sharpened his skills in highly sensitive corporate environments. After returning to Egypt following the January 25th revolution, he teamed up with other entrepreneurs to co-found Silicon Vision, a company focused on semiconductors. The team there played a key role in developing wireless technologies that were exported to major global companies like Intel and Sony. Eventually, a big American company even acquired the technologies Silicon Vision had developed! Then, in 2016, Mohamed, along with his partners, launched Tactful AI. This company is truly the peak of his journey in artificial intelligence and customer experience (CX). Tactful AI is all about creating smart solutions that help organizations manage customer communications across every digital and traditional channel, from phone calls to social media. They use AI to really understand what customers need and make their service experience so much better. What's cool about the Tactful AI platform is its ability to manage 100% of customer interactions in real-time. It also makes customer service teams much more efficient through smart automation. Plus, it's helped boost digital revenues by a significant 15% to 35% in a short time, simply by improving how customers engage and convert. The platform serves a wide range of industries, including telecommunications, hospitality, e-commerce, and the financial sector. Their impressive client list includes big names like Fairmont, Address Hotels, Al-Araby Group, 2B, L'azurde, and Erada Microfinance. In 2022, the European company Dstny acquired Tactful AI. This was a fantastic move that really strengthened Tactful AI's presence in the European market and allowed its technologies to be integrated into advanced enterprise communication solutions. Over the past few years, the company has invested more than $5 million into developing its own AI technologies. This has allowed them to offer one of the first truly integrated Egyptian solutions for customer experience management, leading to significant expansion across the Middle Eastern and European markets. Mohamed El Masry's vision goes way beyond just developing software. He's aiming to completely redefine the customer experience in the Arab region through smart solutions that combine instant analysis, automation, and operational flexibility. This truly positions Tactful AI among the top regional companies, ready to compete with global solutions in this exciting field.
