Great news for Egyptians living abroad! The government has decided to extend the mobile phone exemption period for those visiting Egypt. Instead of 90 days, you can now use your mobile devices for up to 120 days without issues, starting April 1st. This move is all about making things easier and more flexible for our citizens returning home temporarily.

Egypt Extends Mobile Phone Exemption to 120 Days for Citizens Abroad

In a move aimed at making things easier for Egyptians living abroad, Raafat Hendy, the Minister of Communications and Information Technology, announced an agreement to extend the exemption period for mobile phones brought in by visitors from outside the country. This period will now be 120 days, up from the previous 90 days, starting from April 1st. This change will give people more flexibility to use their personal devices during temporary visits.
