The Egyptian Center for Economic Studies recently hosted a seminar titled "A Discussion on Digital Currencies." Professor Harald Olieg, an economics professor from the University of Chicago, was the main speaker. Yahya Aboul Fotouh, Deputy CEO of the National Bank of Egypt, and Amr Mostafa, Head of Treasury and Capital Markets at the bank, provided commentary. Abla Abdel Latif, the Executive Director and Head of Research at the Center, moderated the seminar, which was attended by a group of experts and specialists.
