The Arab region's startup ecosystem saw significant investment activity from June 7 to 13, 2026. During this period, 8 funding deals were recorded, totaling $26.7 million. This clearly shows investors are still very interested in promising sectors like FinTech, Artificial Intelligence, and PropTech, among others. Egypt Secures the Largest Deals Egypt led the investment scene this week. The FinTech company "blnk" successfully raised $12.5 million in a Series A funding round, and also secured an additional $24.6 million in debt financing. This boost will help the company expand and improve its financial services. Additionally, FinTech company "MNT-Halan" announced the first close of a new investment round. This move further confirms investor confidence in Egypt's FinTech sector, which is one of the fastest-growing and most attractive in the region. Artificial Intelligence Continues to Attract Investors In the UAE, AI company Algebra AI successfully secured $7 million in funding. This highlights the ongoing investment momentum in the Artificial Intelligence sector, which has become one of the most appealing areas for capital in the region, driven by the rapid expansion of data applications and smart analytics. PropTech Maintains Its Appeal Over in Morocco, PropTech company "Agenz" received $5 million in seed funding. This was one of the largest deals in the tech-driven real estate sector recently, and it will help them develop innovative digital solutions for the property market. UAE Continues to Diversify Startup Investments The UAE also saw a $1.6 million investment in a Series A funding round for the digital gifting platform "ZUVEES." This shows a growing interest in companies working in e-commerce and consumer-focused digital services. New FinTech Funding in Qatar In Qatar, "GRO Solutions," a company specializing in FinTech and financial education, secured $600,000 in pre-seed funding. This will support their efforts to develop solutions aimed at increasing financial awareness and promoting investment literacy among individuals. Iraq Shows Growing Presence Iraq also saw two six-figure investment deals. The first went to "Mabiati," a company focused on digital commerce solutions, and the second to "Al Jabal Agriculture," which operates in agricultural technology. This reflects the increasing interest in Iraqi startups and the growing investment opportunities in the region's emerging markets. FinTech Leads the Way The deals announced this week confirm that the FinTech sector continues to dominate the funding landscape in the Arab region. We're also seeing rapid growth in Artificial Intelligence, PropTech, and AgriTech sectors. This all points to a clear shift towards a digital economy and innovation, which are key drivers for attracting investments and boosting startup growth.
