Egypt Approves 45 Cybersecurity Firms to Boost Digital Transformation Strategy

Egypt's Minister of Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Raafat Hendy, shared some exciting news! He mentioned that the opening session of the fifth CAISEC’26 Information Security and Cybersecurity Conference and Exhibition, held under the patronage of Prime Minister Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, saw wide regional and international participation. This really highlights how crucial digital security is for a sustainable economy and stable societies. He also posted on Facebook on Monday, emphasizing that Egypt has a comprehensive vision to build a secure digital space, which is vital for national security and digital sovereignty. He explained, "We're continuing to implement the second version of our National Cybersecurity Strategy (2023-2027) and have already started preparing for the third version to keep up with rapid developments. At the same time, we're growing our local market by accrediting 45 national companies as cybersecurity service providers and investing in our human capital, which is the cornerstone of our protection system." Hendy added that Egypt is quickly moving forward to boost its position as a leading regional and global hub for data centers. This involves pouring massive investments into developing digital infrastructure and offering attractive incentives for investing in huge data centers and cloud computing. This creates a secure and reliable environment for hosting data and supporting emerging AI applications to serve the entire region. He concluded by stating that Egypt remains fully committed to continuing joint work with its regional and international partners to enhance cybersecurity, solidify digital sovereignty, and prepare for future technologies.
