In a move aimed at boosting companies' readiness for investment and raising compliance standards, Exits MENA announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Kozman & Co, an independent member of the SBC Global alliance. This strategic collaboration is set to serve startups and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) across the region.
Under this agreement, both parties will combine their expertise in legal, tax, audit, and financial consulting services. The goal is to help companies meet investor requirements and enhance their preparedness for due diligence processes. This will ultimately boost their chances of attracting funding and speed up deal closures more efficiently.
Kozman & Co is a well-established tax and audit consulting firm, founded in 1971. They offer a range of services including audit and assurance, tax, corporate affairs, and financial consulting, all in line with Egyptian legislation and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). This brings an institutional dimension to the partnership, strengthening the reliability of data and regulatory compliance for the companies they serve.
This collaboration reflects a growing trend within the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the Middle East and North Africa. The region is moving towards building a more robust investment environment, one that emphasizes governance, transparency, and creating sustainable long-term value. This is especially important given increasingly stringent funding requirements and a greater focus on disclosure quality and risk management.
