Egyptian Telecom Calls Off Helios Data Center Deal, Reaffirms Solo Expansion Plan

Egyptian Telecom has decided to cancel its deal with Helios Investments for a majority stake in the RDH regional data center complex. The company cited unfulfilled legal and contractual requirements as the reason. However, Egyptian Telecom confirmed it's still moving forward with its strategy to separate and expand its data center business through a wholly-owned subsidiary in the Egyptian market.

Egyptian Telecom has decided to end negotiations for Helios Investments' acquisition of a majority stake in the RDH regional data center complex. This decision came after several legal and contractual requirements necessary to complete the transaction could not be met. At the same time, the company affirmed its ongoing plan to develop this business through an independent entity wholly owned by Egyptian Telecom.
