The world is seeing rapid changes in how businesses are managed and operated. Because of this, regional tech companies are rethinking their roles, taking advantage of the growing demand for digital solutions and smart systems. In this exciting environment, EcoTech stands out as a key regional player looking to grow its presence through a mix of expanding into new areas, developing new solutions, and building global tech partnerships. EcoTech was founded in Kuwait in 2019 as a limited liability company, starting with a capital of about 150,000 Kuwaiti Dinars. This later increased to 250,000 Dinars. The company benefited from Kuwait's business environment, which served as its initial launchpad, especially since its founders were based there. Since its beginning, EcoTech has adopted a business model focused on empowering organizations. They don't just offer software; they act as a "Business Enabler." This means they redesign operational processes and tackle organizational challenges *before* applying technology solutions. This approach leads to higher efficiency and real business growth. The company works in areas like digital transformation, business automation, and implementing Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. They also provide solutions for financial resource management, supply chains, human resources, Customer Relationship Management (CRM), technical consulting, system customization, training, and technical support. They rely on global systems like SAP, tailored to each client's specific needs. EcoTech has also developed specialized solutions for various sectors. These include a system for managing contracting companies and projects (Construction System) and a system for managing clinics and medical centers (Clinic Management System). This shows their commitment to offering customized solutions rather than generic, off-the-shelf models. As part of their product development, the company launched its own system, "ECO PRO." This system uses different operating models depending on the nature of each business activity, whether it's manufacturing, distribution, contracting, or retail, all built on years of accumulated operational expertise. When it comes to geographic reach, EcoTech has expanded into Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates. They also have plans to enter Qatar and other Gulf markets within the next two to three years. However, expansion into Libya has been postponed due to challenges with the technological infrastructure there. The geographic breakdown of the company's operations shows that Kuwait accounts for about 40% of its activity, followed by Saudi Arabia at 20%, and Egypt at the same percentage. They expect Egypt's market contribution to grow significantly, given the huge opportunities in digital transformation and the growth of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). EcoTech serves over 100 clients across diverse sectors, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, construction, professional services, energy, and some semi-governmental entities. At the heart of their business model, EcoTech relies on "Data Driven Solutions." This concept is all about turning data into practical decisions that support growth by cutting costs, boosting productivity, speeding up processes, and improving the quality of reports and decisions. The company prioritizes cybersecurity, especially for medical and institutional systems. They do this by implementing strict protocols and clearly defining responsibilities within their contracts. Looking at market challenges, EcoTech points out that digital transformation is still often misunderstood by some organizations. It's sometimes seen as simply buying software, even though it's a comprehensive project built on three pillars: strategy, operational processes, and the human element. This misunderstanding can sometimes lead to achieving only about 30% of the expected return, compared to the 70-75% that's possible with correct implementation. The human element stands out as one of the biggest challenges, as some employees resist changes. This highlights the need for effective change management within organizations. Regarding future technology, EcoTech places artificial intelligence (AI) at the core of its strategy. They use AI for data analysis, automating processes, improving customer experience, and supporting decision-making. They also offer call center solutions that rely on smart automation, problem analysis, and faster response times. In line with this, the company has partnered with Tactful AI to develop advanced customer service solutions. They've also started a collaboration program with IBM as part of a plan to build a global network of partnerships. This will allow them to leverage advanced technical solutions and expand the scope of their projects in regional markets. EcoTech believes that AI won't eliminate jobs but will instead create new ones, emphasizing the importance of developing skills to keep up with these changes. On the expansion front, EcoTech aims to double its business volume in the Saudi market during 2026 and 2027, alongside its broader Gulf expansion. When it comes to funding, the company currently relies on self-financing. However, they are considering a potential investment round of up to $1 million by the end of 2026 or 2027. This funding would be used for geographic expansion, product development, and enhancing existing solutions. There are no current plans for an IPO. The company has between 55 and 60 employees, with about 40 to 50 of them based in Egypt. They also collaborate with universities to train young talent and integrate them into the job market. The company's ultimate vision is to become a strategic business partner that helps organizations achieve growth, reduce costs, and maximize the benefits of data and modern technology.
