EasyKash: How This Fintech is Revolutionizing Digital Payments in Egypt

EasyKash stands out as a leading Fin-tech company in Egypt, offering innovative solutions to boost financial inclusion and help the country move towards a cashless society. Founded in 2019, the company operates under the watchful eyes of the Central Bank of Egypt and the Financial Regulatory Authority. They provide a full suite of electronic payment services for both individuals and merchants. **Services and Solutions** EasyKash offers a variety of digital services, including a smart e-wallet that lets users pay bills, installments, transfer money, and shop online. They also have prepaid cards, making payments super easy even without a traditional bank account. Plus, they provide Point of Sale (POS) devices to help merchants accept payments quickly and securely, along with more than 15 different electronic payment methods. **Strategic Partners** To build digital trust and expand its reach, EasyKash works closely with major financial institutions like the National Bank of Egypt, Meeza, Mastercard, e-finance, and Khalis. **Acquisition and Investments** In May 2024, the E-Finance Group for Financial and Digital Investments acquired a stake in EasyKash. This move aims to further enhance EasyKash's digital services and broaden financial inclusion across Egypt. **Who Benefits?** EasyKash helps individuals easily manage their payments, transfer money, buy goods and services, and pay installments. For merchants, it offers secure and fast electronic payment solutions, ultimately improving their customers' experience. It's worth noting that any "EasyKash" services linked to Saudi banks like the Saudi Investment Bank or Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank Egypt are installment services provided by those banks and are not connected to the Egyptian digital payments company, EasyKash. Mourad El Ashry, the Founder and CEO of EasyKash, proudly announced that the platform has processed financial transactions exceeding 1 billion EGP! He also shared that the company currently serves over 15,000 active merchants and boasts more than 500,000 users on its platform. El Ashry explained that the idea for EasyKash sparked in 2019 to fill a clear gap in the market. Back then, electronic payment methods were mostly available only to big corporations, leaving small and medium-sized businesses without the digital payment tools they desperately needed. He believes that competition in the sector is healthy, especially with Egypt's huge market where 60% of transactions still rely on cash. This presents massive opportunities to offer secure and easy payment solutions. El Ashry highlighted EasyKash's competitive edge: a technologically advanced platform, international security certifications, round-the-clock customer service, and the availability of all payment methods, including those for installment plans. Looking ahead, El Ashry confirmed that EasyKash is gearing up to launch exciting new products. These include new POS payment machines and an innovative AI-powered digital product. On top of that, they're planning to expand into the Gulf market very soon. These exciting developments are happening as the global Fin-tech sector continues to boom, with projections showing the market size could double in the next five years. This growth is truly driving digital transformation and the widespread adoption of non-cash payments in Egypt and the wider region.
