Binance Bahrain has announced a strategic partnership with Beyon Connect. This collaboration will allow them to adopt the advanced eKey 2.0 digital key system for verifying user identities. This means better security, smoother processes, and easier use for "Know Your Customer" (KYC) procedures for both citizens and residents. This partnership lets Binance Bahrain benefit from Beyon Connect's exclusive rights as an authorized distributor of the system. Users can log into services using the advanced eKey, which is available through the e-Government app store. The Information & eGovernment Authority in Bahrain fully supports eKey 2.0, ensuring it meets the highest standards for security and compliance. eKey 2.0 is a cornerstone of Bahrain's digital transformation journey. It relies on biometric authentication, like facial recognition, which reduces the need for traditional temporary codes and lowers the risk of fraud. This also improves the user experience and makes services easier to access without needing to invest in extra infrastructure. Tarek Erk, Binance's Regional Head for MENAT (Middle East, North Africa, and Turkey), highlighted that this partnership shows the company's commitment to supporting Bahrain's digital vision. It aims to provide a secure and seamless experience for citizens and residents by relying on the country's trusted national digital identity infrastructure. Christopher Held, CEO of Beyon Connect, emphasized that eKey empowers financial institutions to meet regulatory requirements, protect customers, and deliver faster, smarter services. This ultimately helps build a sophisticated, future-ready financial ecosystem. The service is available to all citizens and residents in Bahrain. It speeds up registration processes, strengthens adherence to regulatory and security standards, and reflects Bahrain's ambition to solidify its position in the global digital economy by making digital services more accessible and supporting private sector innovation.
