Al-Tawfeek Financial Leasing: Two Decades of Growth in Non-Banking Finance, Plus Strong Q1 2026 Profits!

Al-Tawfeek for Financial Leasing (ATLC) has been steadily strengthening its position in Egypt's non-banking finance market. They recently announced a slight but positive growth in profits for the first quarter of 2026, thanks to their diverse financing activities and ongoing expansion in Sharia-compliant financial leasing services.

The company's consolidated financial statements for the period ending March 31, 2026, showed a net profit of approximately EGP 41.58 million, up from EGP 41.07 million during the same period last year.

Looking at the independent financial statements, ATLC achieved a net profit of EGP 41.51 million by the end of last March, compared to EGP 41.08 million for the same period in 2025. This really highlights the company's stable operational performance, even with the challenges facing the non-banking finance sector.

And let's not forget their strong results from 2025! The company recorded a consolidated net profit of EGP 270.6 million, a significant jump from EGP 216.1 million in 2024. Similarly, the independent net profit reached around EGP 270.6 million, compared to EGP 216 million in the previous year. This impressive growth was fueled by an increase in financing operations and a growing customer base.

An Extended Presence in the Financial Leasing Market

Al-Tawfeek for Financial Leasing is a leading player in Egypt's financial leasing sector. They officially started operations in 2006 and later listed their shares on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) in 2017 under the ticker symbol “ATLC.CA”.

The company operates under the supervision of the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and offers a wide range of financing solutions. These include financial leasing for productive assets, real estate leasing, and transport finance, along with sale and leaseback activities, which are a key tool for providing liquidity to businesses.

ATLC is also recognized as one of the first institutions in Egypt to offer Sharia-compliant financial leasing, giving them a significant competitive edge in the non-banking finance market.

Strong Shareholder Structure

The company's operations are backed by a robust ownership structure that includes prominent investment and banking institutions. Al-Multaka Al-Arabi for Investment holds a controlling stake of over 68% of the capital, with Al Baraka Bank Egypt also contributing as a strategic historical shareholder. The remaining shares are freely traded on the Egyptian Exchange.

Expansionary Leadership and Digital Transformation

The company is led by Tarek Fahmy, the Managing Director and CEO, whose name is closely linked to the expansion plans ATLC has pursued in recent years. He's especially focused on digital transformation and developing financing services, which really boosts the company's ability to compete in Egypt's rapidly growing non-banking finance market.
