Visa and Noon have just launched their new "Tap to Tip" initiative in the UAE! This cool new service makes it super simple to give tips to delivery drivers using digital, contactless solutions. Now, customers can show their appreciation faster and more easily, right from their smartphones. This initiative comes as digital payments continue to grow rapidly in the UAE. A recent Visa study, "Where is Cash Used?", showed that a whopping 80% of payments in the country are now digital. However, tipping remains one of the main areas where cash is still king, with 58% of consumers using cash when giving tips. The "Tap to Tip" initiative uses special NFC-enabled stickers placed on Noon's delivery network – you might spot them on a delivery bag, bike box, helmet, or even the driver's uniform. To tip, customers just tap their smartphone once on the sticker. Once you tap your phone, you'll be taken to a secure tipping page to complete the process. This makes showing your support much easier and more flexible, and it really helps foster a culture of appreciation for the delivery drivers who provide essential daily services to customers.
