Engineer Omar Sabbour, CEO of Engineer Consultant Hussein Sabbour, shared that the architectural design sector is undergoing a rapid and fundamental shift because of AI applications. AI has become a key player in redesigning how we plan and execute projects, leading us towards smart and sustainable buildings. He explained that AI-powered generative design tools allow designers to create a huge number of design options in record time. These options are based on specific criteria like building orientation, natural lighting, and air movement within spaces. Sabbour made these remarks during the recent "The Investor" conference. He pointed out that these tools don't just speed up the design process; they also boost the quality of the outcomes by analyzing data with greater accuracy. This helps achieve the best functional performance for buildings and ensures higher efficiency in their use.
