ByteDance's smart chatbot, Doubao, really hit a home run by attracting over 100 million daily active users during the Chinese New Year holiday! This amazing digital achievement puts it right at the top of the competition among China's major tech companies, who have been spending billions of yuan to bring in new users. This is according to a survey published by AICPB.com.
The Spring Festival holiday (which is the Chinese Lunar New Year) is the longest and busiest holiday period in China. This year, it lasted for nine days starting from February 15th. This time is super important for launching huge promotional campaigns and marketing consumer-focused AI products.
According to the data, the Doubao app soared past the 100 million daily active user mark on February 16th. That's more than four times its user levels from the beginning of the month! This surge was likely boosted by its partnership with the CCTV Spring Festival Gala, one of China's most-watched programs. During the live broadcast, the chatbot handled over 1.9 billion AI-related queries!
