Fincart, a company specializing in e-commerce solutions and shipping services, has successfully closed a $2.8 million Seed funding round. This round was led by Launch Africa and Antler MENAP funds, with participation from Yango Ventures, Bluestream Capital, Five35 Ventures, Kalahari Venture, Hi2 Global, and Labs.

Mostafa El Masry, the co-founder and CEO of Fincart, mentioned that this new round follows Fincart's successful completion of a Pre-Seed funding round led by Plus VC, with participation from Orbit Ventures, Plug and Play, and several regional investors.

He explained that the new funding will support the company's plans to accelerate platform development and expand its services. This will empower e-commerce store owners to manage their businesses more effectively and achieve higher growth rates.

He added that the company's success in attracting these investments reflects investors' confidence in its business model and its ability to build the operational infrastructure needed by the e-commerce sector in the region.

El Masry also noted that the company will use the funding to expand its commercial and technical teams, speed up product development, and forge new strategic partnerships. This will strengthen its competitive position in the local market and pave the way for expansion into several African markets by 2027.

El Masry clarified that Fincart initially started as a platform connecting e-commerce store owners with shipping companies to improve delivery operations and financial settlements. It has since evolved into a comprehensive operating system, powered by AI technology, to manage commercial operations more efficiently.

He further added that the platform integrates with over 40 shipping service providers, leveraging one of Africa's largest logistics integration networks. This gives e-commerce stores greater flexibility in managing their shipping and delivery processes.

He also emphasized that the platform allows merchants to get short-term cash advances based on their sales volume, which helps improve cash flow and supports expansion plans. Additionally, it offers smart AI-powered tools to boost customer engagement, increase retention rates, and grow sales.

El Masry pointed out that the company has achieved significant growth by developing solutions that address the real operational needs of e-commerce store owners, helping them enhance their business efficiency and overcome daily challenges.

He revealed that Fincart's platform currently serves over 450 merchants and corporate clients across various sectors, including fashion, cosmetics, accessories, and electronics.
