The first batch of the Wadi Jeddah Incubator program for 2026 shows a growing commitment to supporting early-stage startups. The incubator camp wrapped up with the selection and welcoming of 10 promising projects, backed by a total investment of one million Saudi Riyals. This first batch was launched after a week of intensive workshops and mentoring sessions during the 2026 Incubator Camp. Twenty startup teams took part, gaining valuable insights from 17 mentors and consultants, all focused on developing their projects and getting them ready for growth and market entry. The camp hosted 6 entrepreneurial workshops and over 81 mentoring sessions, covering various aspects of project development. It also offered practical guidance to entrepreneurs, helping them build stronger business models prepared for expansion. The program received widespread interest right from the start of applications, with more than 253 startups applying to participate. Out of these, 46 teams went through personal interviews as part of the project selection process. After the evaluation stages and the camp, 10 projects were chosen for incubation: Juthoor, Zillah, EVINEX, the Groupz, MABIEN, StethoLink, WOUND CARE AI, Mustahaq, PHAGE TECH SOLUTION, and HADER. These incubated companies will get fantastic opportunities for support, development, and mentorship. They'll also benefit from the incubator's network, which includes investors, consultants, and experts in the world of entrepreneurship. The Wadi Jeddah Incubator program is a key part of efforts to boost the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region. It helps startups move from the initial idea development and early growth phases to higher levels of readiness and competitiveness. The program aims to create an environment where entrepreneurs can really develop their products and business models. It also opens up more chances for them to connect with investors and experts, which is crucial for startups to grow and reach both local and regional markets. The success of this first batch truly highlights the significant interest in startup incubation programs. This comes amid strong competition among entrepreneurs looking for mentorship, funding, and access to investor networks – all vital ingredients for companies in their early growth stages.
