The Favikon platform, which specializes in ranking entrepreneurs and digital influencers worldwide, has announced its list of the most influential figures in Egypt's FinTech sector for May 2026. This ranking is based on several criteria, including digital influence, engagement levels, and contributions to developing the FinTech ecosystem and digital transformation. It also considers the role of executive leaders in supporting growth and innovation within companies operating in the sector. Walid Hassouna, CEO of Valu, topped the list. He earned this spot for leading the expansion of "Buy Now, Pay Later" services and boosting the reach of digital financial solutions that cater to a broader range of customers in the Egyptian market. Ahmed Wadi, CEO and Founder of Money Fellows, was also featured among the prominent influencers. His company has achieved significant success, with transaction volumes through its app exceeding $1.5 billion. The app boasts over 8 million downloads, 350,000 monthly active users, and more than a million users who have benefited from its services to achieve their financial goals. Additionally, Money Fellows has attracted investments totaling $60 million. The list also included Mounir Nakhla, Founder and CEO of MNT-Halan. His company provides innovative digital financial solutions aimed at expanding access to financial services, especially for segments underserved by traditional banking. MNT-Halan focuses on improving user experience and promoting financial inclusion. Finally, the list recognized entrepreneur Ahmed Abdel Moneim, founder of Just2Pay. His company offers integrated solutions that combine digital payment services with Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platforms. This empowers small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and freelancers to manage their operational and financial processes more efficiently and smoothly.
