The Ain Shams University Faculty of Engineering racing team's victory at the Formula Student competition in the United Kingdom really highlights how much Egyptian students have grown in vehicle engineering and smart systems. It's awesome to see that Egyptian teams aren't just participating anymore; they're now competing for top spots in one of the toughest global engineering contests! This win truly boosts the standing of our local talent in electric and self-driving car technologies. Our Ain Shams University team achieved a historic milestone at the Formula Student competitions held at the famous Silverstone Circuit in the UK. They clinched first place in the overall theoretical category for autonomous vehicles, known as Formula AI. This makes them the very first team from Egypt and Africa to ever win this title in the competition's history – how cool is that? But their achievements didn't stop with just that big win! The team also secured second place in the Simulation competitions, which are all about mimicking system performance and driving. They also earned second place in System Design, where their engineering design and development methods were evaluated. On top of that, they grabbed second place in the Business Logic Case (BLC), which assesses a project's business plan and commercial viability. Overall, the team proudly ranked fourth in the entire competition. This incredible success happened during the team's very first time participating with an electric Formula car. What's even more impressive is that this car was completely designed, developed, and built by the talented students of Ain Shams University's Faculty of Engineering. This really shows how the team is moving into a more advanced phase of electric vehicle development, relying on their own local engineering solutions. This accomplishment is a fantastic addition to the team's record in international competitions, solidifying their position among the top student Formula teams across Africa and the Middle East. It truly demonstrates the amazing ability of Egyptian students to develop engineering technologies that can go head-to-head with the best universities worldwide in the exciting fields of electric vehicles and autonomous driving.
