Talabat Mart, the dedicated grocery and retail arm of the Talabat platform, has announced the signing of a strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Elite Agro Holdings. Elite Agro is a leading company in the food and agriculture sector in the UAE. This partnership aims to enhance cooperation in supporting local agricultural production and developing more efficient distribution channels.
The partnership aims to create a direct supply channel from farms to consumers. This will make fresh products, including fruits, vegetables, and eggs from Elite Agro Group's farms, readily available, while reducing reliance on traditional intermediaries in supply chains.
This step also helps shorten delivery times and improve distribution efficiency, which speeds up product delivery to consumers. It also enhances the quality and stability of food supplies within the local market in the UAE.
The MoU includes efforts to improve order planning, boost supply chain efficiency, and expand the range of local agricultural products available through Talabat Mart's 'dark store' network. This will ensure a more consistent availability of fresh produce.
This partnership supports local farmers by providing stable sales channels and strengthens the integration between the agricultural sector and digital services. Ultimately, it contributes to developing a more efficient and flexible food system within the UAE.
