Libya Digital Expo & Forum 2026: Government and Tech Unite for Digital Transformation

The technology and telecommunications sector in Libya is experiencing growing momentum with the launch of events that bring together government entities, the private sector, and experts. This is all part of an effort to support digital transformation and speed up the creation of a digital economy that can keep pace with global developments. The Libya Digital Expo and Forum 2026, focusing on the digital economy, telecommunications, and technology, officially opened under the leadership of Dr. Oqba Khalifa Haftar. Dr. Abdul Hamid Musa Awad, Chairman of Emaar Libya Holding Company, was also present, alongside several ministers, officials, and specialists in telecommunications, information technology, and the digital economy. This forum serves as a national platform bringing together government and private entities, experts, and specialists. Its goal is to showcase the latest digital solutions and technologies, boost digital transformation, support innovation, and encourage the exchange of expertise. Ultimately, this will help develop the telecommunications and technology sector and support efforts to build a modern digital economy that keeps up with global advancements and contributes to Libya's development journey. The Libya Digital Expo and Forum 2026 events are taking place from July 27 to 30, 2026, at the Benghazi International Conference and Exhibition Center. Government bodies, technology companies, experts, and specialists in digital economy, telecommunications, and technology are all participating. The event is officially sponsored by the Ru'ya Foundation for Digital Economic Development and Strategic Studies. The Central Bank of Libya is attending as the main honorary sponsor, and Al-Multaqa Company for Organizing International Exhibitions and Conferences is responsible for organizing and overseeing the event.
