Cairo's "Shabab Shamel" Initiative: Empowering Young Entrepreneurs with a Competition and Cash Prizes

The Ministry of Youth and Sports, through its Financial and Digital Inclusion and Artificial Intelligence Unit, is teaming up with the Central Bank of Egypt and the National Bank of Egypt to host the "Shabab Shamel" (Inclusive Youth) initiative in Cairo during April and May 2026. These exciting events will take place at The Club. ### Goals of the Shabab Shamel Initiative This initiative aims to empower young people economically and professionally by boosting their financial and digital literacy. It focuses on several key areas: Spreading financial and digital inclusion awareness among youth, increasing understanding of modern banking systems and services, supporting entrepreneurship and innovation, helping turn ideas into viable projects, and backing small and medium-sized enterprises while encouraging self-employment. ### Training and Awareness Activities for Youth The initiative includes a variety of practical activities and programs, most notably: Financial and digital awareness campaigns to promote financial inclusion, introducing young people to banking services and financial products, hands-on workshops in entrepreneurship and project management, and launching initiatives and projects that support young entrepreneurs. ### The Youth Award for Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship As part of the initiative, a competition will be held at the end of the events. Participants will showcase their projects, which will then be evaluated. Financial support will be provided by the National Bank of Egypt to the winning projects, along with follow-up to help implement these projects and transform them into real, scalable business models. ### A Real Chance to Turn Your Idea into a Project The initiative offers a practical platform for young people to turn their ideas into successful projects, providing training and funding support to help them launch into the job market.

Valuable Cash Prizes

A competition for participating youth will be organized at the end of the initiative for the "Youth Award for Financial Inclusion and Entrepreneurship," where the top 3 winning projects will be selected. Winners will receive valuable cash prizes, with financial support from the National Bank of Egypt for the winning projects. Additionally, there will be follow-up on project implementation to transform them into real business models. The first-place winner will receive 250,000 EGP, the second-place winner will get 150,000 EGP, and the third-place winner will receive 100,000 EGP. ### How to Participate and Register ### You can register and participate in the initiative through this link
