The Sanad Application Foundation for Comprehensive Development happily announced the successful rollout of one of the biggest digital food support initiatives during the recent Ramadan. This was all thanks to their "Electronic Voucher" system, which uses cool new technology to make sure aid reaches the right people efficiently and transparently. The Foundation shared that they distributed over 3 million electronic codes to families most in need across Egypt. This means beneficiaries can now freely pick up their food essentials from consumer complexes all over the country. It's a smart digital approach that makes the whole system more effective and truly respects the dignity of those receiving help. This awesome initiative was a team effort, carried out in partnership with Egypt's Ministry of Supply and Internal Trade. The Holding Company for Food Industries also played a big part, welcoming beneficiaries at their branches. This collaboration really smoothed out the process of getting support to families and made the entire system work better. They also worked closely with the General Union of NGOs, with many civil society organizations stepping up. These groups were crucial in finding eligible recipients and getting them registered through the digital Sanad platform, ensuring that aid was accurately targeted and fairly distributed. The system uses digital codes, giving beneficiaries the freedom to choose their own food items from approved stores, which is a huge step up from old-fashioned methods. This cuts down on waste, helps manage resources better, and shows a growing trend of using technology for good in charitable work. In the same spirit, the Foundation also launched the "Dignified Feeding" initiative to support thousands of fasting individuals in several governorates. This included handing out over 2,000 chickens as part of direct feeding programs, providing food support to more than 10,000 fasting people, and distributing ready-to-eat Iftar meals and meat, benefiting over 1,000 fasting individuals. Islam Nasrallah, Chairman of the Foundation's Board of Trustees, shared that the success of the "Electronic Voucher" system truly shows how technology can transform charitable work. It helps build smart support systems that ensure aid reaches those who need it quickly and transparently. He added that the Foundation is now looking to develop a complete digital model for managing community initiatives. This model will use data and smart analysis to make resource distribution even more efficient and create a lasting positive social impact.
