As the demands for running Artificial Intelligence (AI) applications within organizations continue to grow, Raya Information Technology has highlighted the challenges related to digital infrastructure readiness. They did this by showcasing Cisco's integrated solutions, which are specifically designed for "AI-native" environments within data centers.
Raya Information Technology pointed out that the shift towards AI is putting increasing operational pressure on existing infrastructure. Currently, only a small percentage of organizations globally—no more than 13%—have networks fully ready to support these applications. This clearly shows a big gap between the rapid increase in demand and the actual level of readiness.
They explained that this shift requires data centers to be redesigned so they can handle AI-related workloads. This is especially true given predictions that power demand within these centers will increase by about six times in the coming years. Plus, there's a critical need to reduce response times and improve data transfer efficiency, with estimates suggesting that 79% of current networks need upgrades.
