Orange Egypt has excitingly announced the launch of the new 2026 edition of the Orange Social Venture Prize (OSVP) competition across Africa and the Middle East! Applications are now open for startups and innovators in Egypt until May 10, 2026, and you can apply through the competition's official website. This competition has been a major supporter of innovation since it first started in 2011. It aims to discover and empower companies that use technology to offer innovative solutions that create a lasting positive impact on society. This is especially true for areas like Artificial Intelligence, data analysis, and other digital solutions. Orange Egypt is inviting entrepreneurs whose companies are less than 5 years old and who are over 21 years old to apply. This competition offers a fantastic chance to connect with a wide network of experts and investors, along with opportunities for funding and expanding into markets across the region. The competition has two main stages. It kicks off with a local phase where three winning Egyptian companies will be chosen. These winners then move on to the international stage, where they'll compete against representatives from 17 countries across Orange's markets in Africa and the Middle East. This really opens up doors for regional expansion for all participating companies. The competition offers some great financial prizes at the international level! The first-place winner will receive 25,000 Euros, the second-place winner gets 15,000 Euros, and the third-place winner takes home 10,000 Euros. Plus, there's a special prize of 20,000 Euros specifically for projects led by women, showing support for female entrepreneurship and promoting equal opportunities. All submitted projects will be evaluated based on several criteria. These include how well the idea fits market needs, how much it relies on technology, and its potential for implementation and growth. It's also a must to have a prototype that shows the project is serious and well-developed. Maha Nagy, Executive Vice President for Public Relations and Corporate Communications at Orange Egypt, emphasized that supporting innovation and entrepreneurship is a key part of Orange's strategy for achieving sustainable development. She highlighted that the competition is a real platform for discovering talent and helping young people turn their ideas into projects that benefit the community. She added that the 2026 edition aims to expand opportunities for Egyptian entrepreneurs and connect them with a regional network of experts and investors. This will help speed up the growth of their companies and boost their ability to expand. There's also a special focus on supporting projects led by women, recognizing their crucial role in building a more inclusive digital economy. Orange Egypt encourages all interested startups and innovators in Egypt to apply for the competition before the deadline of May 10, 2026, via the website: Click here
