Global companies are really stepping up their efforts to boost their presence in Egypt's Artificial Intelligence (AI) scene. They're doing this by supporting startups and connecting them with investors and international experts, which helps build a stronger environment for innovation and growth.

Cairo recently hosted the NVIDIA SIGNALS event for the very first time in Egypt. It was a joint effort by NVIDIA, A15, BitRoot, and RiseUp. The event brought together startup founders, investors, entrepreneurs, and leaders from the innovation community to chat about the future of AI and the latest global trends in the sector.

The event focused on showcasing the newest AI developments. There were also practical sessions covering how to build startups, expand operations, raise investments, and make the most of the NVIDIA Inception program, which is specifically designed to support AI-focused startups.

The event organizers emphasized that this partnership is just the beginning of many initiatives. Their goal is to equip Egyptian innovators with the technology, training, and networking opportunities they need to build startups that can compete on a global scale.

Basel Fattin, Head of Startups and Venture Capital at NVIDIA, shared his pride in launching the SIGNALS event at the Grand Egyptian Museum, right near the Giza Pyramids. He explained that the event wasn't just about technology; it was about building an innovation ecosystem, which is the foundation for the AI sector's growth.

He added that the event's success was a result of collaboration with ecosystem partners: A15, RiseUp, and BitRoot. He looks forward to this event being the start of a series of joint initiatives to support Egypt's startup community.

More than 120 tech leaders, entrepreneurs, investors, and venture capital funds attended the event. It also featured a panel discussion where founders from several startups in the NVIDIA Inception program shared their experiences in developing AI solutions and offered insights to the audience.

This initiative is part of broader efforts to strengthen Egypt's position as a regional hub for AI innovation. It aims to do this by expanding collaboration between global companies and the local entrepreneurship community, and by supporting the creation of a new generation of startups specializing in AI technologies.
