Mohamed Aboul Naga: Startup Egypt Could Have Fast-Tracked Egyptian Startups Years Ago

Mohamed Aboul Naga, a trustee board member of Startup Egypt and an entrepreneur and investor in technology and AI, shared that the foundation aims to build a comprehensive, non-profit ecosystem. This system will bring together all the key players in Egypt's entrepreneurship scene by connecting entrepreneurs with investors, government bodies, and various support institutions through one unified platform. Aboul Naga added that one of Startup Egypt's main goals is to make the journey easier for both startup founders and investment funds. It does this by offering a single point of contact with all the relevant authorities, which really helps save time and effort when looking for information, services, and support. He pointed out that if such a platform had been around 15 years ago, it would have made a huge difference in how Egypt's entrepreneurship ecosystem developed. He explained, "If Startup Egypt had been here 15 years ago, it would have made so many things easier for us. We really needed a single platform to connect with all the government bodies and relevant entities that support entrepreneurs and investment funds." Aboul Naga clarified that Startup Egypt works as an integrated system that links entrepreneurs with mentors, investors, and partners. Its main goal is to speed up the growth of startups. It plans to achieve this by providing a smart assistant powered by AI to help founders easily get official information, and by launching specialized business accelerators and a wide network of experts. He emphasized that the foundation aims to boost communication among startup founders, investors, government bodies, and support institutions. This effort will help build Egyptian companies that are better equipped to grow, expand, and compete successfully in both local and regional markets. The Startup Egypt Board of Trustees includes several well-known entrepreneurs and experts. Among them are Sabreen Asem, Ayman Bazaraa, Mohamed El-Okby, Ayman El-Sawy, Mohamed Aboul Naga, Ahmed Shaaban, and Rania Ayman.
