Mezza Launches in UAE, Offering Restaurants Debt-Free Funding and Customer Growth

The hospitality platform "Mezza" has officially launched in the UAE, introducing an innovative funding model designed to support restaurants by providing immediate cash flow. It also aims to boost customer attraction rates and increase repeat visits.

Mezza's entry into the UAE market comes at a time when restaurant operators are increasingly looking for flexible solutions that combine financing and marketing. They need these solutions to tackle the challenges of maintaining a steady stream of visitors.

Mezza relies on integrating financial support with advanced digital marketing tools. This allows restaurants to improve customer experience and sustainably increase foot traffic.

The platform's business model was specifically designed to support independent restaurants and hospitality groups. It addresses two key challenges in the sector: lack of funding and the difficulty of consistently attracting new customers.

Mezza offers upfront funding in exchange for future food and beverage credit. This provides immediate liquidity without the need for loans, interest, or giving up equity shares.

The funding amounts provided by the platform range from 20,000 to 10 million UAE Dirhams. This supports operational and expansion needs, helping restaurants maintain stable revenues.

Unlike traditional funding models, Mezza's approach is based on value exchange. The platform purchases food and beverage credit from restaurants at a wholesale price, then gradually redistributes it to app users. This credit is typically redeemed over a period of up to 12 months, ensuring a continuous flow of customers throughout the year.

Kevin Popiel, founder of Mezza, explained that the platform aims to solve both funding and customer attraction challenges simultaneously. Its model doesn't impose debt or dilute ownership; instead, it supports sustainable demand and increased footfall all year round, not just during peak seasons.

Since its inception, Mezza has built partnerships with several prominent hospitality operators, including "Gates Hospitality," "Rosy Hospitality," "Chic Nonna," and "Fab Food Co." It continues to expand by adding new partners based on criteria focused on quality and customer experience, covering all restaurant categories from casual to fine dining.
