Meet Omar El Sahy: Leading Amazon Egypt with 20 Years of E-commerce Expertise

Engineer Omar Nabil El Sahy has been the General Manager of Amazon Egypt since 2017, bringing with him two decades of experience in managing and developing e-commerce businesses. He's focused on combining local expertise with Amazon's global vision to deliver high value to customers in Egypt. He holds a Master's degree in Engineering Management and a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology. He began his career by founding and managing successful e-commerce projects like Odezy.com and Dealwaty.com. He also co-founded international companies such as "E-Group Corp" in the United States, and "Ace Watch Egypt," the exclusive distributor of "Ace Watch" in the local market. Omar El Sahy is a member of the Digital Economy Committee of the Egyptian Cabinet, a board member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, and a member of the Strategic Advisory Board for the Dean of the American University in Cairo's School of Business. He also serves as a business development consultant for Silatech and a mentor at "Endeavor Egypt," supporting entrepreneurship and providing sustainable opportunities for Arab youth. Omar El Sahy plays a pioneering role in e-commerce and the digital economy, and under his leadership, Amazon Egypt's strength and position in the local market have truly shined.
