MBME Group and Comera Team Up to Expand Digital Financial Solutions Across the UAE

In a move that highlights the fast pace of digital transformation in the UAE's financial sector, MBME Group has announced a strategic partnership agreement with Comera Financial Holdings, part of Royal Group. The goal is to expand digital financial solutions and make the payment system in the UAE market even more efficient. This agreement comes as part of a growing trend to build integrated financial systems that combine advanced technology infrastructure with innovative financial products. This partnership will give merchants within MBME's network access to a full suite of Comera's services. These include Point-of-Sale (POS) devices, SoftPOS services, online payment gateways, QR code payments, and financing solutions like working capital and invoice discounting. This integration shows an advanced model for partnerships in the fintech sector. It connects widespread digital infrastructure with regulated financial services, which helps make business operations smoother and boosts financial inclusion for everyone.

Expanding Services and Financial Innovation

This partnership is all about finding new ways to make digital financial services more accessible to both individuals and businesses, while always following regulations. One exciting part of this collaboration is exploring digital gold investment services through the Comera Pay app. This would let users easily buy, sell, and hold gold, showing a clear move towards offering more diverse digital investment options. Other areas of cooperation include developing digital wallet services and making electronic payments more widely accepted. This supports the shift towards an economy that relies less on cash and helps manage financial flows more efficiently.

Economic Insights Backed by Numbers

This partnership comes at a time when the digital payments sector in the UAE is experiencing significant growth. This growth is driven by people and businesses increasingly using tech solutions for their financial transactions. According to data from the UAE Central Bank, the value of interbank transfers jumped to AED 864.57 billion in January 2026, up from AED 677.65 billion in January 2025. That's an impressive annual growth rate of 27.6%. Customer transfers also saw a healthy increase of 5.7%, reaching AED 125.19 billion. This pushed the total transfers through the local system to about AED 989.76 billion, marking an annual growth of 24.3%. These numbers clearly show that more people are using digital financial services and that trust in the payment infrastructure is growing.

A Future Vision for the Fintech Market

This partnership perfectly aligns with the UAE's strategic vision to support financial innovation and speed up digital transformation. This is especially true given the flexible regulatory environment that encourages fintech companies to grow. This step is expected to make the market more competitive and open up exciting new opportunities for companies and merchants to benefit from more advanced and flexible financial solutions. Ultimately, the agreement between MBME and Comera is a great example of how technology and finance can come together. It supports building a fully integrated digital economy and strengthens the UAE's position as a leading regional hub for digital financial services.
