Saudi platform Maison Safqa has successfully secured $620,000 in new pre-seed funding! This clearly shows growing investor interest in the region's luxury e-commerce sector, especially with innovative business models emerging that are redefining how high-value products are managed. The funding round saw participation from 500 Global through its Sanabil accelerator program, alongside a group of angel investors specializing in the technology and retail sectors. This reflects increasing confidence in the platform's ability to build a scalable model within a market sensitive to pricing and exclusivity. The company was founded in 2024 by entrepreneurs Lia Mahouj, Estelle Nasr, and Georgia Mahouj. Their clear focus is on providing tech solutions to one of the biggest challenges in the luxury sector: managing excess inventory without harming a brand's image. Maison Safqa uses smart mechanisms for pricing and distribution channels. This allows luxury brands to sell their products thoughtfully, maintaining their market value and avoiding the erosion caused by random discounts. This model is one of the most prominent emerging global trends, as brands strive to achieve a delicate balance between operational efficiency and preserving exclusivity. The platform aims to build a digital bridge between luxury brands and consumers looking for exclusive purchasing opportunities in fashion, beauty, and lifestyle. It leverages a strong network of relationships in the Gulf market, along with the founders' expertise in luxury retail. Since its launch in May 2025, the platform has built a base of over 50 local and international brands, including Aigner and Lanvin, as well as prominent regional brands. It has also seen remarkable growth, with sales volume increasing more than 20 times in less than a year, reflecting the strong demand for these specialized digital solutions. In terms of expansion, the company has strengthened its presence in the Saudi market through strategic partnerships with major entities like Red Sea Global, Diriyah Company, and Cenomi Retail. This gives it a strong foothold within the luxury retail ecosystem and enhances its ability to reach new customer segments. This funding comes at a time when the luxury e-commerce sector in the Middle East is experiencing rapid growth. This surge is driven by changing consumer behavior, increased demand for unique digital experiences, and the accelerating adoption of tech solutions by brands. This positions Maison Safqa to greatly benefit from this momentum, especially as it adopts a model that combines technology with preserving the privacy and identity of luxury brands.
