Lumin Soft is an Egyptian company that specializes in providing integrated technology solutions. It was founded in 2002 as "Excel for Projects" before rebranding with a new identity that reflects its expansion into FinTech and digital identity. Since its launch, the company has focused on developing digital solutions for both government and private sectors. They leverage their expertise in system integration and information security to offer services like digital identity, electronic verification (eKYC), digital contracts, smart card solutions, and business automation. Lumin Soft has successfully established a strong presence in government projects, implementing several digital initiatives, including developing technology solutions related to Ministry of Interior services. This sector now accounts for 50% to 60% of their total business. To expand further in the FinTech sector, the company received preliminary approval from the Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) to join its regulatory sandbox. This allows them to test solutions for verifying the identity of foreigners using Near Field Communication (NFC) technology, a move aimed at supporting innovation in digital verification services. Lumin Soft also has a dedicated electronic payments arm through its "Cowpay" platform, which acts as a payment facilitator, further integrating its services in this area. As part of its expansion plans, Lumin Soft aims to restructure its operations by establishing a holding company. This new entity will encompass several subsidiaries, including "Lumin Systems" for integrated systems, alongside its electronic payments arm. In this regard, Ahmed Sarhan, the company's chairman, revealed that they are considering forming a holding entity that would include three subsidiaries. This step is designed to enhance integration between different activities and maximize returns. Sarhan also mentioned that the company is working to develop Cowpay's business model by introducing value-added services or attracting a strategic investor. This is part of a plan to achieve profitable transformation, alongside the goal of listing a portion of the holding company's shares on the Egyptian Exchange within three years. He added that Lumin Soft is active in smart chip technologies, data security, and business automation solutions, building on a strong track record with government entities. Furthermore, it was one of the first companies to obtain a Know Your Customer (KYC) license from the Financial Regulatory Authority.
