Libya Digital Forum 2026 Launches New Track on Startups and Entrepreneurship

The importance of startups and entrepreneurship in supporting the digital economy is growing, especially with the increasing role of innovation and artificial intelligence in developing business models and creating new investment opportunities. This will be a key discussion point at the Libya Digital Forum 2026, as part of one of its specialized tracks.

The Libya Digital Exhibition and Forum for Digital Economy, Communications and Technology 2026 announced the organization of its eighth track, titled "Startups and Entrepreneurship." They're inviting entrepreneurs, startup owners, innovators, investors, university students, and anyone interested in entrepreneurship and modern technologies to join its sessions.

This track will shine a light on Libya's entrepreneurship environment, strategies for growing startups, investing in innovation, the role of artificial intelligence in education and entrepreneurship, and building a digital ecosystem to support the national economy.

Participating in the track's sessions are:

Mr. Ahmed Mansour Habil - Commercial Administration Director (CCO) at the Libyan Academy for Communications and Informatics, and a commercial consultant.

Dr. Mohammed Al-Dali - Associate Professor and Scientific Researcher at Al-Ibdaa Group for Scientific and Technical Services – Ottawa, Canada.

Dr. Huda Al-Muqairhi - Training Specialist and Regional Coordinator for the iLead program – Zurich, Switzerland, for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

Mr. Zuhair Bousnina.

Mr. Mohammed Diab - Director of the Entrepreneurship Center at the University.

Eng. Mohammed Salem Mohammed Al-Shuwayhdi - Executive Director of Human Resources and Organizational Development at the Technical Aluminum Company – Al-Sulaiman Holding Group.

Dr. Michelle Chivunga - CEO, Founder, Investor, Senior Government Advisor, and Digital Trade Expert for the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

The track's sessions are scheduled for today, Wednesday, July 29, 2026, from 2:30 PM to 3:15 PM, at the Benghazi Exhibition Center – Al-Nahr Road.

The forum organizers emphasized that these sessions will bring together a selection of experts and entrepreneurs. They will share successful experiences and future visions to support startups, foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship, and build a thriving digital economy in Libya.

The Libya Digital Exhibition and Forum 2026 events will take place from July 27 to July 30, 2026, at the Benghazi International Conferences and Exhibitions Center. Ro'ya Foundation for Digital Economic Development and Strategic Studies is the official sponsor, with support from the Benghazi Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture and the General Authority for Exhibitions and Conferences. Al-Multaqa Company for Organizing International Exhibitions and Conferences is responsible for organizing and overseeing the event.
