PwC has officially opened its massive technology and consulting services center in Cairo, known as the Egypt Technology and Innovation Center (ETIC). This center is set to become one of the most important pillars of digital transformation in Egypt. It's also a regional hub for exporting digital and consulting solutions to Europe and the Middle East, with a special focus on Gulf countries, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom. **Top Tech Solutions** The center focuses on the latest globally demanded technical specializations, offering a comprehensive suite of services to major companies: **Generative AI (GenAI)** The center is a hub for developing Generative AI solutions for businesses. This includes Agent systems through the Salesforce Agentforce platform, which helps automate complex processes in sales, service, and marketing. The center also places great importance on building frameworks to ensure data governance and security when implementing AI in large organizations. **Cloud Services and Digital Transformation (Cloud Transformation)** The center provides integrated solutions through global partners like SAP, Salesforce, Microsoft, and Google Cloud. The focus is on transforming business models to the cloud and building reusable frameworks to speed up project execution. This also includes developing custom enterprise applications to support data science and advanced analytics. **Cybersecurity & Digital Trust** With increasing digital threats, the center offers advanced consulting for managing cyber crises and securing cloud and hybrid infrastructures for multinational companies. This helps boost customer confidence in a secure digital environment. **Global Business Services** The center goes beyond traditional consulting, offering full management of companies' technological operations. This includes Business Model Reinvention and providing continuous technical support for complex systems to ensure they run with high efficiency. **Employment and Opportunities for Youth** PwC's ETIC aims to be a key platform for recruiting skilled Egyptian talent in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) fields. The center plans to hire around 5,000 specialists by 2025/2026, focusing on recent graduates and professionals with high technical skills and multiple languages. PwC also launched the ETIC Youth Academy, which offers intensive training programs and summer internships to prepare talent to work according to the company's global standards. The center provides a global work environment at Cairo Festival City (CFC) in New Cairo's Fifth Settlement. This allows Egyptian youth to work on international projects right from Cairo, giving them advanced professional experience and opportunities for career growth in a globally competitive environment. **Center Establishment** PwC's ETIC was officially inaugurated on May 17, 2023. The event was attended by Dr. Amr Talaat, Minister of Communications and Information Technology, the British Ambassador to Egypt, and global PwC leaders. This center is part of PwC's global strategy to establish specialized regional centers for digital and consulting services. A key goal is to boost Egyptian digital exports, aiming to reach approximately $300 million in the initial years. The center started with a significant initial investment of $10 million, in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA). It aims to be a platform for launching results-driven digital transformation, enabling Egypt to have a strong presence in the global digital services market.
